조기 영어 교육이 초등학교 영어 학습에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Children's Early English Learning Experience on Their Learning English at the Elementary School

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to figure out the current situation of early English education and its problem to analyze our English education. This would lead us to find out the solution of efficient early English education. I also discussed about the necessity of early English education and in order to do that I researched the current situation of early English education in Korea and overseas countries.
In the first chapter, I explained the necessity of this study and its purpose, method and the limit of this research. In the second chapter, I examined the theoretical background and opinions from supporting and opposite view to analyze the theory of early English education. In the third chapter, I discussed the current on going situation of domestic and overseas early English education. In the fourth chapter, I mapped out the subject of this study, its procedure, its period and its constitution factors. In the fifth chapter, I analyzed the results and in the final chapter, I made some suggestions the improvement plan for early English education.
In this study, I did tests which include speaking and listening, and alongside of survey analysis proceeded from 4th grade students, I could analyze the problem of current English education given to elementary school and I tried to suggest the right direction for that.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 연구목적은 조기영어교육의 실태와 문제점을 알아보고 현재 시행되고 있는 영어교육을 분석하여 분석한 내용을 토대로 하여 효과적인 영어 교육의 방향을 알아보고자 한다. 또한 국내·외의 조기영어교육 현실을 알아보고 시행되고 있는 영어교육의 고찰을 통해 조기영어교육의 필요성에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
본 논문을 위하여 제1장에서는 연구의 필요성 및 목적, 방법, 연구의 제한점에 대해 설명하고, 제2장에서는 조기영어교육의 이론적 고찰을 위하여 다양한 측면에서의 이론적 배경을 살펴보고 조기영어교육에 대한 찬성론과 신중론의 입장을 알아보았다. 제3장에서는 국내·외의 조기영어교육실태에 대해 알아보았으며 제4장에서는 연구대상, 연구절차 및 기간, 연구 구성 요인에 대해 설명하였다. 제5장에서는 연구결과를 분석하고 제6장에서 조기영어교육 개선방안을 제시하였다.
본 연구에서는 4학년 학생들을 대상으로 하여 설문결과분석과 듣기, 말하기 영역의 테스트를 통해 우리나라 초등학교 영어교육의 실태와 문제점을 분석하고 조기 영어교육의 바람직한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.
