모란 및 국지모란지수를 이용한 도시용수 이용의 공간패턴과 그 변화 분석 - 미국 남동부 카운티들을 대상으로 - = Analysis on Urban Water Use using Moran and Local Moran Indices for Spatial Pattern and its Change - A Case Study of the Counties in the U.S. Southeast -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The spatial autocorrelation analysis on the demand of urban water use provides the spatial scale of concentration of the counties with high demands of water use. This information can be used to establish an appropriate spatial scale of water management governance with which competitions and conflicts on urban water use between counties are coordinated. This study attempts to identify the spatial pattern of urban water use and the change of this pattern over time in the Southeastern region of the United States. For this purpose, Moran's I, Moran scatterplot, Local Moran, and hot spot maps are used in the analysis. In addition, the categorization as well as t-tests are conducted on the spatial patterns of the five years examined in order to trace the changing pattern over time in a more systematic way. The findings show that urban water use has a strong spatial autocorrelation and that the degree of autocorrelation rises over time. Especially between 1985 and 1990, and between 1990 and 2000, spatial pattern has experienced a significant structural change. The intensification of spatial autocorrelation requires a multi-county approach to water resource management policy.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

도시용수 수요에 대한 공간적 자기상관분석은 수요가 높은 카운티들이 공간상에서집중되어 발생하는 클러스터의 공간적 스케일을 밝혀줄 수 있다. 이를 통해서 도시용수이용에대한 카운티 간 경쟁과 갈등을 조정할 수 있는 물 관리 거버넌스에 적절한 공간적 스케일을 설정할 수 있다. 본 연구는 미국 남동부 지역에서 도시용수 이용의 공간패턴을 파악하고 패턴변화의 양상을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 공간적 자기상관을 측정하는 기법인모란지수와 모란산포도, 로컬모란, 핫스팟지도 등을 이용하여 공간패턴을 분석하였으며 이들의시계열적인 변화를 t-검정과 변화패턴 유형화를 통해 파악하였다. 분석의 결과 전역적으로 높은수준의 공간적 자기상관이 관측되었으며 자기상관의 경향은 더욱 강화되고 있었다. 시기별 변화의 양상을 보면 1985년에서 1990년, 그리고 1990년에서 2000년으로 가면서 공간패턴 상에서 구조적인 변화가 나타났다. 이러한 공간적 자기상관 정도의 강화는 수자원관리정책에 있어 범카운티적인 접근이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.
