지속 가능한 항만도시 발전 방향 모색을 위한 한국 항만도시의 유형 분석 = Cluster Analysis of Port-Cities in Korea for Sustainable Development

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to propose the directions of sustainable development of port-cities in Korea. Korean port-cities have been devoted to expanding port facilities without concerning their geographical and market situation, which incurs excessive and unsustainable investment problem. This study suggests various development directions instead of uni-direction. For the purpose, we set up seven models to classify twenty-eight Korean ports-cities. By applying hierarchical cluster analysis, we determine four types of port-cities by their geographical attributes of ports and their hinterland cities. Finally, we propose sustainable development directions for each port type which are the most suitable to the geographical characteristics.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국 항만도시의 지속가능한 발전방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
지금까지 한국의 항만도시들은 항만도시의 지리적인 특성에 대한 고려없이 항만시설의 확장을추진하여 과잉투자에 따른 지속불가능한 문제를 확대시키는 결과를 초래하였다. 본 연구는 28개의 한국 항만도시의 다양한 발전방안을 제시하기 위해 7가지 모델을 설정하여 항만도시의 유형을 파악하였다. 계층적 군집분석을 적용하여 항만도시의 지리적인 속성에 따라 항만도시를 4가지 유형으로 분류한 결과에 따라 유형별 지속가능한 발전방안을 제안하였다.
