The purpose of this study were to analyze relationship between problem behaviors and self-esteem among school maladjustment adolescence.
The subjects were 195 adolescents who participated in the enlightment program for maladjustment adolescences from YMCA. The instrument used for this study is the problem behaviors researched by Lee Jong-Won in 2001 and the self-esteem scale researched by Coopersmith in 1975. All research materials are staistically collected through SPSS program.
The results of the study were as follows. Correlational relationship between problem behaviors and self-esteem among school maladjustment adolescents was existed meaningful opposite correlation.
According to the result of this study, the suggestion is as follows: When youth facilitators consult or educate the school maladjustment adolescents, they should consider different approach as the problem behavior type and the subjects. The positive support and counseling for adolescents make higher their self-esteem level and lower problem behavior level.
