    The purpose of this study was to verify the efficiency of the CBCL 1.5-5 DSM Pervasive Developmental Problem Scale in the discrimination of Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delay. The subjects comprised 272 infants and toddlers, aged from between less than 18 months to 5 years old, who were assessed as suffering from developmental delays. The CBCL 1.5-5 and the CARS were used as the measuring tools. The results of this study are as follows: First, the CBCL 1.5-5 DSM PDP Scale showed a static correlation with CARS. Second, in terms of the CBCL 1.5-5 DSM PDP Scale based on CARS and DSM-5, the scores of the ASD group were higher than those of the developmental delay group. Third, in the discriminant diagnosis of ASD and developmental delay, the classification accuracy was found to be 66.2%. As a result of the ROC analysis, the AUC was .76, which is the appropriate level of discrimination. When based on 67T points, both sensitivity and specificity were 82% and 60%, respectively. The odds ratio for 67T points was 6.69, the classification accuracy rate for ASD was 41.6% and the classification rate that developmental delay was incorrectly classified as ASD reached 9.6%.
