선택적 함묵증 아동의 놀이치료 사례 = The Case Study on Play Therapy for a Child Who has Selective Mutism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Immediate intervention is strongly recommended to treat child selective mutism in early ages cause mental and physical disability and unsociability in later stages. This case study is for the 3 years old girl who talked with her family at home, but didn't speak at all in the kindergarten. Moreover, she appeared passively shy, very unsocial, and difficulty in having relation with her peers. The fundamental factor causing her selective mutism were her highly sensitive temperament and opposite parenting experience between mother and grand mother in early stage. The play therapy program was executed in 36 sessions; 1 session per week for 40 minutes. The therapist therapeutic goals for on the child to relax, actively play, and motivate to interaction with therapist in a play therapy program. In addition, it was parent- counseling for 36 session that was organized to guide her mother to be her emotional supports. It's main goal was to coached mother to have appropriate parenting to her child. As a result of applying a play therapy program, the child expressed her opinion freely, disappeared her selective mutism, and showed that she adapt herself to her environment affirmatively.
