Draw-a-Story에 나타난 우울성향 여성의 검사반응 특성 = The Response Characteristics of Depressive Women Through Draw-a-Story Test

국문 초록 (Abstract)

Draw-a-Story검사는 Silver가 아동의 우울을 진단하기 위해 개발한 그림검사로서, 자극으로 제시된 14가지 그림 중 두 가지를 골라 둘 간의 관계를 그림으로 표현한 뒤 그림의 이야기 내용을 진술하도록 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 Draw-a-Story검사가 성인여성의 우울을 측정하는 도구로서 변별력을 가지고 있는지 검증하고자 했다. 이를 위해 우울한 여성들과 우울하지 않은 여성들의 Draw-a-Story검사 결과를 비교하였다. 참여한 대상은 Beck 우울척도 검사를 통해 BDI 17점 이상인 25명으로 우울집단을 구성했으며 BDI 10점 이하를 얻은 21명으로 비우울집단을 선발했다. 이들에게 Draw-a-Story를 실시한 결과, 우울집단의 DAS 점수가 비우울집단에 비해 유의미하게 낮았다. 또한, 피검자들이 진술한 그림의 이야기 내용은 이들이 어떻게 우울에 대처하고 극복하는지에 관해 의미 있는 정보를 제공하였다.

Draw-a-Story test is a drawing test developed by Silver to screen child depression. DAS asks to choose 2 stimulus out of 14 and to make a story between them. The purpose of this study is to examine the discrimination power of DAS as a tool to screen the depression of female adults. To meet this end, the results of DAS drawn by depressive participants were compared to those by non-depressive participants. The depressive participants were 25 individuals whose BDI scores were over 17, and the non-depressive participants were 21 individuals whose BDI scores were less than 10. As a result, the depressive group showed significantly lower DAS scores than those of the non-depressive group. The contents of DAS story reflected how they cope with and overcome depression.
