The purpose of this study was to measure indirectly perceived social support, directly perceived social support and perception and their relations.
Subjects were 162 students of D. nursing junior college. Data were collected from 20th of Nov. to 10th of Dec. 1987, by social support scale made by Park & perceptual orientation scale made by Choy and analyzed by means of t-test, ANOVA, and correlation test.
The results were as follows;
1. There is significant differences between students who had hospitalization history & who had not (P < 0.05), and there is significant differences among economic status (P <0.005) in indirectly perceived social support.
2. There is significant differences among religions (P < 0.05), and economic status (P < 0.01) in directly perceived social support.
3. There is significant differences among parental existence in perception (P < 0.05).
4. There is significant relations between indirectly perceived social support and perception (r = 0.23015, P < 0.01). 5. There is significant relations between directly perceived social support and perception '(r = 0.16593, P < 0.05).
