청소년의 빈곤지각에 따른 부모-자녀 의사소통 및 자기인식이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향: 어머니와 아버지의 의사소통에 따른 비교분석 = The Structural Relationships Among Perceived Poverty, Parent-adolescent Communication, Self Perception, and School Adjustment

This research designed to pinpoint the intervention and identify factors, which can buffer the devastating impacts of adolescent perceived poverty, is of critical importance. This study addressed ways in which adolescent perceived poverty(PP) is associated with school adjustment(SA) and how this relationship may be mediated by parent-adolescent communication(PAC) and self-perception(SP). Data of the Korean Child Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) were used in this survey of 6979 adolescents. Using structure equation modeling analysis, the results of this study confirmed that first, adolescent school adjustment was significantly affected by adolescent perceived poverty. Second, parent-adolescent communication(PAC) and self-perception(SP) are mediators of the linkage between adolescent perceived poverty and school adjustment. Thus, parent-adolescent communication and self-perception act to buffer the negative effect of perceived poverty. Third, for the both parent groups, the self-perception was the most important variable influencing school adjustment in adolescents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 학교적응에 대한 보다 근원적인 이해와 조기중재변인의 탐색을 위하여 청소년의 빈곤지각(PP)은 학교적응(SA)과 어떻게 관련되어 있으며, 이러한 청소년의 빈곤지각은 부모-청소년 의사소통(PAC) 및 자기인식(SP)이 매개변인으로 작용하였을 때 어느 정도의 영향력을 가지며 완충될 수 있는가를 밝히고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 국가수준의 종단조사인 한국아동․청소년패널조사(Korean Child Youth Panel Survey, KCYPS) 데이터를 사용하였으며, 전국에 분포되어 있는 12개 시도(제주도 제외)에 거주하는 중고등학생 6979명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 청소년의 빈곤지각, 부모-청소년 의사소통, 자기인식, 그리고 학교적응이 측정되어졌다. 구조방정식모형 분석결과 첫째, 청소년의 빈곤지각은 학교적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 청소년의 빈곤지각은 부모-청소년 의사소통 및 자기인식을 통하여 학교적응에 간접적인 영향도 함께 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 구조적 관계 검증결과, 어머니와 아버지와의 의사소통의 경우 양쪽 다 청소년의 빈곤지각은 부모-자녀 의사소통을 1차적 매개변인으로, 청소년의 자기인식을 2차적 매개변인으로 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 구조적 관계를 나타내었으며 청소년의 학교적응에 자기인식이 가장 많은 영향을 미치며, 어머니-청소년 의사소통, 그리고 빈곤지각 순으로 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
