The base where Korean society is supported is a family. Korean family consciousness has a peculiar one traditionally. The Korean family is the smallest unit in which our Korean consciousness is defended. So the relation between the Korean family members is very sticky. A relation between parents and children is so in particular further. Parents who can`t make sure that a child will be met don`t feel comfortable, and the children who can`t practice filial piety aren`t easy. When a man/woman is inconvenient, it is difficult to show his/her ability. Therefore We hardly have that an undutiful child succeeds in Korea. The secret which can make Korea develop then is to protect a Korean family certainly. Parents must love their child, and children must be dutiful to their parents. It`s necessary to make the concept of filial piety clear. Filial piety is not serving my parents. It is the effort to receive love of my parents. We are to make sure that my parents will live at first, and follow parents` intention right at second. This is dutiful to our parents. Otherwise, filial piety is also the means of the truth mastery in others, and it`s the way to achieve world peace.
