ADHD 증상 및 주양육자 양육행동이 ADHD 아동의 학업수행 수준에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of ADHD Symptoms and Parenting Behavior on School Performance in Children with ADHD

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships among the variables affecting the formation of the school performance in children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and to analyze the effects of those variables contributing to the formation of the school performance. For this purpose, this study analyzed the possible influences on the ADHD symptoms and negative parenting behavior. ADHD Rating Scale, Parenting Behavior Scale were administered to 81 parents, and School Performance Scale were administered by teachers of the children with ADHD. Several statistical procedures were carried out. The correlation analysis and Structure Equation Modeling Analyses were deployed to examine the relations between the ADHD symptoms, parenting behavior, and school performance by using the SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 6. The results of this study appeared as follows. First, the indices of the fit model on the study model showed that the negative parenting characteristics were significant mediators of the linkage between the ADHD symptoms and the low school performance. Second, ADHD symptoms did not have a direct effect on low school performance.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 ADHD 아동의 증상 정도, 주양육자의 양육행동, 학업수행 수준 간의 구조적 관계모형을 검증함으로써, ADHD 아동의 학업수행 수준 형성에 아동과 주양육자 요인들이 어떤 경로로 작용하며 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 ADHD 증상으로는 부주의성과 과잉행동-충동성을 하위영역으로 설정하였고, 주양육자의 부정적 양육행동으로는 비애정적, 적대감, 무관심, 거부적 행동을 하위영역으로 설정하였다. 그리고 이러한 변인들이 ADHD 아동의 학업수행 수준과 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 경기지역과 대구지역에 거주하는 초등학교 1학년에서 3학년까지 재학 중인 ADHD 아동 81명을 대상으로 하였으며 해당 아동의 주양육자 및 담임교사가 ADHD 증상, 주양육자의 양육행동 검사, 그리고 학업수행 수준에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 구조방정식모형 검증을 실시한 결과 첫째, 아동의 ADHD 증상은 주양육자의 부정적 양육행동을 매개변인으로 하여 낮은 학업수행 수준을 가져오는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, ADHD 증상이 ADHD아동의 학업수행에 직접적 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
