The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of peer acceptance. PIPPS(The Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale) and play categories. The subjects of this study were 151 childrens from the kindergartens and child care centers in Taegu city. The measures were the sociometric assessment of the Asher et al. and Howes, the PIPPS of Fantuzzo and the play cataegories of Parten. The data were analyzed according to MANOVA and Pearson`s correlation. The results were as follows. There were significant difference between the peer acceptance and the PIPPS, between the peer acceptance and the play categories and between the PIPPS and the play categories.
