아동학대가 초등학생의 정서 문제에 미치는 영향 = Ego-resiliency as a Mediator between Child Abuse and Emotional Problems of Primary School Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동학대가 정서 문제에 미치는 영향 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널조사(KCYPS)의 3차와 4차년도 자료를 이용하였으며 초등학생 2,342명의 자료를 구조방 정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동학대 정도가 높을수록 주의집중, 공격성, 신체증상, 사회적 위축, 우울 등의 정서 문제가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 신체학대, 정서학대에 비해 방임이 정서 문제에 미치는 영향력이 상대적으로 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동학대와 정서 문제 간의 관계에서 자아탄력성이 유의미한 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 아동학대의 하위유형인 신체학대, 정서학대, 방임과 정서 문제 간의 관계에서 있어서도 자아탄력성이 모두 유의미하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아동학대 인한 초등학생의 정서 문제의 예방과 치료적 차원에서 자아탄력성의 증진을 위한 실천 방안을 제안하였다.

This study examined the effects of child abuse and the mediating effects of resiliency on emotional problems. This study analyzed the data from the 3th∼4th year Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS), including 2,342 primary school children. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, child abuse increased emotional problems such as attention deficit, aggression, somatic complaints, depression, and social withdrawal. In particular, neglect appeared to have relatively a bigger effect on all five emotional problems. Second, results revealed that ego-resiliency was a significant mediator in the relationship between child abuse and all five emotional problems. Also, the mediating effects of ego-resiliency on the relationship between physical abuse, emotional abuse and neglect and all five emotional problems were confirmed. Implications for strengthening of ego-resiliency of primary school children from the point of view of prevention and treatment of emotional problems caused by child abuse were discussed.
