니체의 형이상학 비판에 관한 고찰 = A Review of Nietzsche's Critique of Metaphysics

국문 초록 (Abstract)

니체에 관한 최근의 해석들, 특히 프랑스 철학자들은 기존의 형이상학적 전통 안에서는 그의 철학이 이해될 수 없다는 견해를 피력하는 가운데, 니체의 철학과 기존의 철학적 전통간의 단절성을 강조한다.
그러나 본 연구는, 니체의 철학이 기본적으로 기존의 철학적 전통과의 대결로부터 시작 되었으므로 그의 철학이 지닌 창조성과 근본성은 오히려 그가 극복하고자 했던 전통의 맥락속에 그의 철학을 위치 시켰을 때 비로소 제대로 인식될 수 있다는 전제하에서 시도되었다.
본 논문에서 필자는 칸트의 철학이 니체와 근대 철학의 관계를 이해할 수 있는 하나의 중요한 철학적 맥락을 제시하고 있으며, 니체의 철학은 칸트의 형이상학 비판이 지닌 한계를 극복하려는 시도에서 비롯되었다는 것을 보여주려 하였다.
그리고 니체와 칸트 그리고 형이상학의 관계를 고찰하는 가운에 필자는 궁극적으로 니체의 철학이 과연 칸트의 철학으로부터 자유롭다고, 또는 그것을 극복하였다고 할 수 있는지를 검토해 보았으며, 결국 니체는 칸트적 사교로부터 자유로울 수가 없다는 결론에 이르게 되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Much of the modern reception of Nietzsche seems to have been as if we could talk about his contemporary relevance only by taking his thought out of its historical context: that is, the impossibility of interpreting his texts in relation to the metaphysical tradition.
In this study, however, my assumption is that his innermost thinking is born out of a confrontation with the modern philosophical tradition, and that the originality and radicalness of my thinker can be fully appreciated when his ideas are situated in the context of the tradition that the particular thinker was seeking to overcome.
Thus, I attempt to situate Nietzsche's thinking in the context of Kant's critique of metaphysics in order to show that Kant's philosophy provides one of the most important philosophical context in which Nietzsche's relation to modern philosophy can be most fruitfully understood, and that Nietzsche's thinking is born out of an attempt to think through and overcome the aporiai of Kant's critique of metaphysics.
Finally, in the course of considering Nietzsche's relation to Kant and metaphysics, I examine whether Nietzsche does in fact free himself from Kant. My conclusion is that Nietzsche's critique of metaphysics is based on the opposition of lift and metaphysical understanding, but that within Nietzsche's own terms this opposition is itself a metaphysical one; Nietzsche's thinking fail to free itself from Kant.
