There was embroidery called Seu-Ran(膝란), located along the knee area of the robes. In China Seu-Ran was used during Yuan(元) dynasty, and Dae-Ran(大란: embroidery located along the knee and hem lines of the robes) was used during the late Yuan dynasty. Both Seu-Ran and Tong-Soo-Seu-Ran(通袖膝란: embroidery along the shoulder line) was used during Yuan dynasty and Ming dynasty of china. Korean male wore Tong-Soo-Seu-Ran-Dan-Ryeong(通袖膝란團領) as the chinese male did in Ming dynasty. Korean female wore Dan-Sam(團衫), which influenced Won-Sam(圓衫). Skirts with Dae-Ran were worn in Ming dynasty and Korea, where new form of a skirt, with one Seu-Ran on it, was introduced.
