Background: We are presently in the midst of a global telecommunication revolution. A powerful confluence of technological, economic and social forces is leading to rapid change in the capabilities, price and performance of telecommunications services. One of the areas of electronic commerce that is rapidly expanding is mobile commerce. Electronic payment is an important issue of electronic commerce. Secure electronic payment will not only make purchasing activities more convenient and flexible but also create an unimaginable new era of business. Due to the advance of mobile network technologies, mobile personal devices are used to perform electronic payment.
Goal: The purpose of this study was to examine casual relationship among factors related to risk (confidentiality, accessibility, and security), trust, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention to use TAM model. The research model consists of exogenous variables (factors related to risk) and endogenous variables (trust, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, behavioral intention to use).
Conclusion: Mobile payment firms will support different and innovative mobile payment services through continuous measurement and improvement using this model based on TAM model. The analysis results revealed that accessibility and security are significant factors influencing perceived ease of use and trust. But confidentiality is not a significant factor influencing perceived ease of use and trust. Trust and perceived ease of use are significant factors influencing perceived usefulness and behavioral intention to use. Trust, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness was exposed to significantly affect behavioral intention to use.
