김정은 통치술이 북한 군사정책에 미친 영향 = The Influence of Kim Jong Un`s Craft of Ruling on North Korean Military Policy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

After his grip on power, Mr. Kim is focusing on consolidating his power by show of force and reign of terror by ruthless purge and taming the army. This craft of rul-ing by Kim Jong Un led North Korea to pursue military adventurism and offensive military policies. Three nuclear tests and several missile launches by Kim Jong Un raised high mili-tary tensions in the Korean Peninsula. Also it caused the international society to im-pose high level of sanction, resulting isolation of the North and severance of relation-ship with its traditional ally, China. Moreover North Korea`s threat and provocation against South Korea near the cease fire line sever inter-Korean exchange and lead to the shut-down of Kaesong Industrial Complex. Kim Jong Un is relying heavily on weapons of mass destruction program, such as nukes and missiles, for the maintenance of its hereditary leadership. He will continue to sustain its reign of terror and consolidate its power by provocation against South Korea, to induce solidarity of its regime and to confront pressure from the interna-tional community.
