데이트폭력 피해의 위험요인 = Risk Factors of Physical and Sexual Violence Victimization in Dating Relationships

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study was to investigate the risk factors of physical and sexual violence victimization in dating relationships among college students. 428 female college students were studied.
The risk factors of physical violence victimization were ‘attitude toward violence,’ ‘conflict in the relationship,’ ‘relationship duration,’ ‘grades’ and ‘the intactness of the product family’. The risk factors of sexual violence victimization were ‘attitude toward violence,’ ‘conflict in the relationship’ and ‘physical aggression by parents in childhood’.
Overall, ‘conflict in the relationship’ and ‘attitudes toward violence’ played important roles in physical and sexual violence victimization in dating relationships. However, contrary to the findings of some previous studies, ‘witnessing parental violence’ was not a significant risk factor in either physical or sexual violence victimization, while ‘physical aggression by parents in childhood’ was a risk factor only for sexual violence victimization. Implications for intervention and policy were suggested.
