Andrew Carnegie is well known as Steel King Carnegie. But his achievement is famous because he donated so much his wealth to society as the philanthropist. In this thesis it is focused that not his business management history or ability, but his donation and philanthropic activity, how the Korea CEO`s or wealthy people emulate that. He thought he would return his money to society before he turn over to the Morgan company, in fact after his sold out, his greatness stems out by his thought how and where to contribute effectively with his money. He had never donated his money ineffectively. His donation contributed to erect the UN peace court in Hague with his peace foundation. However his most powerful contribution is the support to open the library at that time. The project to support the library concreted by the experience at the Colonel Anderson, who opened a small library with 400 books when he was a little boy, where he liked to read. But today the library support project would be the greatest project to change the US into the wealthier country in the world. Otherwise the citizens could not have so easy chance to approach to the library at all. He also lead this project well, including other various projects for the society with his huge money. He at last donated almost of all of his wealth. US library system has pride of the number as a public library with the city libraries. But not only the number of the libraries, but also the programs for the users. Therefore the library is the center of senior education and lifelong continuation training center. He donated his money with his policy to give selectively, especially he donated to the science and education field. This became to contribute the foundation to grow up to the upper level society. His foundation to the educators supported the scholars to research without worry, and his interest to the peace lead him to support the world peace court building in Hague. Therefore in this thesis it is focused not the success business man, but the philanthropic activity of the business donator like Carnegie, to show the Korea wealthier business people, giving them more valuable information and value of life.
