학습자 감성 신장을 위한 시 교육 방안에 대한 연구 = A Research of Poetry Teaching Methods for Improving Learner's Emotional Intelligence.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to find out that the learner could realize and express how one feels, sympathize with others, and furthermore, feels the change in oneself through the poetry education.
The way to do the study is to analyze the condition and the problem of school education, which is based on the achievement standard related to emotional intelligence’s improvement, through the text book and the teaching method. After the first process, study finds the better and specific ways to do the poetry education, in order to fulfill the emotional intelligence’s improvement of learners who are about seventh grade.
This study had been phased by restructuring the textbook for the effective poetry education to emotional intelligence’s improvement. The first is the motivating phase which is to give the important information in advance to motivate and interest the learners who might think the poetry class would be dull. The second is the emotional experiences phase which is to arrange the scene and the situation of the poetry by close reading. The third is the discussion phase which is to find the agreeable factor among the instructor and learner, and learner themselves. The last is the emotional intelligence’s improvement phase which is to adapt the emotional experiences of poetry in everyday life, and this phase had been exemplified in various ways.
In selecting the poetry, the poetry had been selected majorly on the family, friend, and the subject which influence the learner’s formation of emotional intelligence and improvement the most. Moreover, every poetry reveals the aim of the lesson, the reason why it had been chosen, and the expected behavioral change of the learners after the poetry lesson.
The writer oneself proposes other instructors to adapt the result of this study, which is to follow the learner’s level and situation, in real class. In addition, in poetry education purposing the emotional intelligence’s improvement, learner’s self evaluation should be the most important factor, and instructor only should be an observer who observes the learner’s portfolio and behaviors.
