부모역할수행 척도 개발 및 타당화:청소년기 부모용 = The Parental Role Scale for the Parents of Adolescents: Development and Validation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 청소년 발달에 적합하고, 자녀가 기대하는 부모역할을 반영하며, 부모가 자신의 부모역할을 평가할 수 있는 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 문헌연구, 심층면담과 내용타당도 평정을 통하여 67개 문항으로 이루어진 예비 부모역할수행 척도를 구성하였다. 또한 청소년 자녀와 부모가 예비 부모역할수행 척도 문항을 중요하게 인식하는지 알아보기 위하여 청소년 251명과 부모 203명을 대상으로 중요도 인식 조사를 실시하였고 모든 문항들이 중요하게 인식되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 최종 예비 부모역할수행 척도를 67개 문항으로 구성하였다. 예비조사는 부모 308명을 대상으로 이루어졌고, 최대우도법과 베리맥스법을 이용한 1차 탐색적 요인분석 결과 해석 가능성을 검토하여 7개 요인으로 구성된 56개 문항이 선정되었으며, 주성분분석을 통해 모든 요인에서 일차원성이 확보되는 것을 확인하였다. 의미가 모호한 문항을 수정하였고, 요인별 해석가능성을 높이기 위해 문항을 추가하여 최종 본조사 71개 문항을 완성하였다. 본조사는 중 · 고등학생 자녀를 둔 부모님 1,079명을 대상으로 실시하였고, 다른 표본을 적용하였을 때 같은 결과가 나오는지 예비조사와 교차 확인하기 위하여 2차 탐색적 요인분석을 수행한 결과 예비조사 결과와 같이 7개 요인이 추출되었다. 부모역할수행 척도는 두 차례에 걸친 탐색적 요인분석 결과 최종적으로 7개 요인(애정, 보호, 학업 및 진로 지도, 사회성 지도, 정서 지도, 성교육, 훈육), 총 56개 문항으로 확정되었다. 개발된 부모역할수행 척도의 구인타당도의 증거를 제시하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형을 활용한 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 그 결과 부모역할수행 척도의 7개 요인 적합도가 CFI는 .860, TLI는 .852, SRMR는 .055, RMSEA는 .053으로 나타나 수용 가능한 구인타당도를 확인하였다. 수렴타당도의 증거를 제시하기 위하여 부모역할수행 총점과 부모효능감 척도, 자아존중감 척도의 총점의 상관을 살펴본 결과, 부모역할수행은 부모효능감, 부모의 자아존중감과 유의미한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 개발된 부모역할수행 척도의 신뢰도 정보를 제시하기 위하여 문항내적일관성 신뢰도와 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 분석한 결과 문항내적일관성 신뢰도는 .812∼.921로 나타났고, 검사-재검사 신뢰도 분석 결과 .901∼.959로 나타나 개발된 부모역할수행 척도의 신뢰도는 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 연구결과를 부모역할 관련연구에서의 활용성과 부모교육에서 적용가능성을 중심으로 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research aimed to develop and validate a parental role scale that is appropriate for the developmental stage of the youth, reflect the parental role that children anticipate, and also bring forth a scale that can even enable parents to evaluate their performance as parents. For the preliminary parental role, 67 items were chosen based on the analysis of literature, in-depth interviews and content validity tests. To check if the items were significant and helpful for the adolescents, importance analysis test about parental roles were conducted to both adolescent children and parents. The results showed that, the majority of both parents and children perceived all 67 items to be important, so, 67 items were utilized in the preliminary scale. Using this preliminary scale, the pilot study was conducted on 308 parents and the results led to total of 56 items with 7 variables. To improve the strength of the scale and allow for better interpretation, 15 items were added to have a total of 71 items finally developed for the main test. The main test that was conducted used the finalized version of the parental role scale with the participants being 1,079 parents. The parental role scale consists of 7 variables (affection, protection, academic and career guidance, social skills guidance, emotional guidance, sex education, discipline) and the confirmatory factor analysis using the structural equation model was conducted to calculate the construct validity of this scale. The final results showed CFI (.860) and TLI (.852) and although results were little less than .90, the model could be accepted. The SRMR was .055 and RMSEA was .053 in this study, so the model was relatively adequate. This allowed the construct validity to be confirmed. Furthermore, to evaluate the convergent validity of the parental role scale, the relationships with parenting efficacy and self-esteem were also examined. Parental role had a positive correlation with parenting efficacy and it also positively correlated with self-esteem. The internal consistency coefficients were distributed in .812∼.921. In the test-retest reliability analysis, the values were distributed from .901∼.959, showing that the developed parental role scale was reliable. Finally, this dissertation also includes a discussion on the possible application of this scale in regards to studies conducted on parenting practices as well its practicality when educating parents.
