<쌍미기봉>에 형상화된 애정의 양상과 의미 연구 = Features and Cultural Meanings of the Love Figured in <Ssang-Mi-Gi-Bong>

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about features and cultural meanings of the love figured in <Ssang-Mi-Gi-Bong(雙美奇逢)>(1916). This love story was published at 1916, and followed schema of nobel's novel, as to say, closing with polygamy and appearing aristocratic characters. But, this novel represented the new feeling of love. This study's goal is making the explain of this cross of old-fashioned style and new-fashioned description of feeling.
This novel captured the love as spontaneous and instinctive feelings, a emotional process of missing and waiting, and a love triangle. And it's cultural meaning is, 1. it preoccupied the love figure which was unfamiliar in those days. 2. the 'Yae(禮)' was the representative obstacle of realizing the romantic love. 3. although the 'Yae(禮)' was the very cause of being in a fix of love, there was no cultural form of dealing successfully with it.
In conclusion, the novel raised a question about the 'Yae(禮)'. But, when there is no substitute of old ideas and forms, it is easy to regress into an old ideal, the 'Yae(禮)'. This made a cross of outdated style and new description of feeling.
