The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Keller Plan model on college student's academic achievement, stimulating student motivation and monitor attitude toward the Keller Plan.
The subject of this study was a total of 70 college students in general education courses in Kwandong University which cosisted of 35 students of expermental group and 35 students of control group. The research design was noneqivalent-control group design due to the fact that the experiment was conducted under the condition of natural academic calender year.
The results of this study were as follows:
The first, the difference in academic achivement between two groups was not apparent. Although statistically no score difference who found, difference between two groups apperared to be from 8.26 at pre-test to 6.20 at post-test in which the score of control group was increase at 2.06 at post-test compared to the score of Keller Plan group.
The second, the difference in withdraw rate and absent rate between two groups were found in which the withdraw rate and absent rate of Keller Plan students were lower than the control group. Therefore, the students of experimental group has more activenty participated in the class activities than the control group did.
The third, attitude toward the Deller Plan model appeared to be positive than traditional lecture method reflected by Deller Plan students.
Therefore, this study concluded that Deller Plan model can be applicable to the Korean university students and would be effective.
