    In the educational thought of Friedrich Froebel we are confronted with a panoramic view of the universe of knowledge and experience. That is the reason why Froebel is certainly one of the unforgettable educators in the circle of early childhood education. However, nobody can deny that his educational ideas have been variously interpreted and misunderstood. This study aims to present how to absolve this tendency and grasp Froebel`s essential educational thought more accurately and deeply. We may call it the integrated approach to Froebel. This means that we have to hold holistic views and comprehensive approaches in order to understand various tendencies and parts of Froebel`s educational system and ideas. It is comprised of three principles : amalgamation of biographical approaches and philosophical analysis, understanding of the process of Froebel`s educational ideas developed through effective usage of Froebel`s main works, and appreciation of Froebel`s religious background and ideas as the foundation of his early childhood educational ideas. It is pertinent that these three principles should be involved in studying Froebel at the same time. When we study Froebel in this way, we are able to reach what Froebel emphasized. Motivated by a profound grasp of the interrelationships of God-man-nature in Christian theology, Froebel set the law of life of unity as the core of his early childhood educational ideas before all of us.
