The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of ego resilience in correlation between multicultural family mothers’ family healthiness and relationship between parents and children.
The subjects of this study are 221 multicultural family mothers residing in A, G, or N City in Gyeonggi-do.
The findings of this study are as follows. First, according to the results of conducting correlation analysis to figure out correlation between family healthiness perceived by multicultural family mothers, relationship between parents and children, and ego resilience, there is positive correlation found between family healthiness, relationship between parents and children, and ego resilience. Second, multiple regression analysis was done to examine the influence of family healthiness perceived by multicultural family mothers on relationship between parents and children. According to the results, family healthiness is found to be the factor influencing the subareas of relationship between parents and children, psychological satisfaction, communicative satisfaction, and life satisfaction. Also, family healthiness is found to be the factor influencing ego resilience. Third, according to the results of examining the mediating effects of ego resilience in correlation between family healthiness perceived by multicultural family mothers and relationship between parents and children, ego resilience is found to have partly mediating effects.
