정선아라리의 지역원형 연구 - 정선 지역을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 강원도 민요인 정선아라리 사설의 다양한 ‘어휘’에 주목하고, 정선 지 역민이 부른 정선아라리를 대상으로 지역원형을 검토하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 정 선아라리가 수록된 기존의 문헌자료를 바탕으로 강원도 정선 지역의 문화적 특징 을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 정선아라리 사설에 나타난 ‘어휘’에서 당시 정선 지역민의 지역원형을 파악할 수 있었다. 즉 담배와 관련된 흡연 문화, 구두와 관련된 여성 문화, 일본어 사용을 통한 언어 문화가 그것이다. 또한 6.25 전쟁으로 인해 남과 북 으로 분단되어 반공교육을 통하여 민주주의에 대한 신념을 굳게 하고 공산주의 침 략을 격멸함으로써 통일을 염원하는 정신세계로서의 지역문화를 발견할 수 있었 다. 이러한 과정을 통해 강원도 정선아라리 사설의 ‘어휘’에서 정선 지역민의 지역 원형과 지역문화의 일면(一面)을 조명한 점에 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focused on the varied “vocabulary” of the words of the Jeongseon Arari and Gangwondo folksong. We aimed to review the local cultural archetypes through the Jeongseon Arari songs. In addition, we examined the cultural characteristics of the Jeongseon region of Gangwondo based on existing documents containing the Jeongseon Arari, clarifying the residents’ smoking culture, shoes, related women’s culture, and local archetypes through the Japanese language in “the vocabulary” present in Jeongseon Arari. Furthermore, we gained awareness of the local culture as a spiritual world wishing for reunification by solidifying the convictions of democracy by thwarting the communist invasion and anti-communist education when the nation was divided between South and North due to the Korean War. The study thereby illuminated aspects of Jeongseon residents’ local archetypes and culture in “the vocabulary” of the words of Jeongseon Arari.
