근대문학과 번역/번안의 문제 ; 1920년대 번역계의 세대교체 -한성도서주식회사와 장도빈의 출판 활동을 중심으로- = A Shift of Generations in 1920`s Translations: Focused on Hansung-doseo and Jang Do-bin

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In 1920`s, several publishing companies were founded and published many translated books for the readers` needs for western literatures which were called World`s Masterpiece(Segye-myongjak). One of the major companies was Hansung-doseo, that was a modern systematic corporation. It positively planed and published not only translated biographies in a series but also foreign literatures. Jang Do-bin leaded the company and was major hand on workers, and he can be considered as one of the bridge between 1900`s and 1920`s in Korean translated literature history. He was a junior of Shin Chae-ho and a senior of 1920`s translators, for example, Kim Uk, Lee Sang-su, No Ja-young and Oh Chun-suk. Through the investigation of the publishing company Hansung-doseo`s and Jang Do-bin`s works, the continuity and discontinuity between two generations can be detected. It could be also cleared that the meaning of translation and creation in the colonial Chosun.
