정운모 동시 연구 = 첫 동시집 『휘파람새』를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정운모(1945∼2000)는 산업화의 결과가 하나둘 가시적으로 드러나기 시작하던 1980년대에 활발한 시작활동을 하였다. 이러한 배경을 염두에 두고 자연을 보면, 그것은 문명의 반대쪽에 있는 순수가 될 것이다. 그의 동시는 대체로 자연을 모방하거나 어린이들의 생활을 자연에 은유하는 등 자연 친화적 성격이 극명하게 드러난다. 즉 그의 시에서 자연은 친밀한 장난감이기도 하며 또 아이에 은유되어 있기도 하다. 그래서 자연은 시적화자에게 즐거움을 주는 존재로 부각되어 있다.
그의 시에 자주 등장하는 구체적인 자연은 나무, 하늘, 새, 바람, 꽃,바위, 햇볕, 비 등이다. 이들 자연은 대부분 시각화되어 색깔을 지니고 있다. 이는 밝음 혹은 희망의 이미지로 동심과 소통을 가능하게 이미지화 되어 있다. 그의 시적 전략은 은유의 수사학과 물활론적 세계관에 바탕을 둔 동심동일화이다.
그러나 지금까지 그의 작품이 제대로 조명을 받지 못한 채 있다. 이는 그가 두 권의 시집을 낸 채 일찍 세상을 떠난 것이 가장 큰 이유일 것이다. 이에 본고는 정운모 동시에 나타난 자연의 이미지를 분석하여 그의 동시사적 위상을 정립하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 그의 동시에 다양한 이미지로 형상화 되어 있는 자연의 이미지와 동심과의 관련성을 찾을 것이다. 이로써 시인이 일관하고 있는 시적사유의 한 측면을 분석할 수 있을 것으로 믿는다. 그래서 글에서는 그의 첫 동시집『휘파람새』를 중심으로 시인이 추구한 동심이 무엇인가에 대해서 구체적으로 살펴보고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Chung Woon-Mo(1945∼2000) started his active writing of the poems in 1980s when the results of industrialization had been arisen one by one visibly. In his children"s poem, the character of nature friendliness is shown apparently such as the modification of the nature mostly or metaphoring the children"s life to the nature.
Accordingly, when the nature is observed in consideration of the background of times, it will be the purity at the opposite side of civilization. The nature in his poem is a familiar toy and it has been metaphored to the children. Therefore, it was remarked as a being of pleasure to the poetic speaker. The specific nature which is appeared frequently in his poem is the tree, sky, bird, wind, flower, rock, sunlight and rain. These things of nature have the color with visualization mostly. These are made in images for possible communication with children"s mind with the images of brightness and hope. His poetic strategy is the identity to the children"s mind based on the metaphor rhetoric and a hylozoism view of the world.
But his works have not been spot lighted correctly to date. It will be the biggest reason because he passed away early after publishing two collection of poems. Therefore, this study will establish his status in the history of children"s poem through analyzing the images of nature which were shown in his children"s poems. For this purpose, the connection between the images of nature which were made in his children"s collection and the children"s mind will be found at the same time. By means of this, it is believed that one side of the poetic consideration where this poet adheres will be analyzed. Because of this reason, what the children"s mind is will be looked into specifically focused on his first collection of children"s poem,『휘파람새, A bush warbler』.
