      The purpose of this research is to figure the effects of the range of motion of the ankle joint and balance control ability after the application of the Ankle Joint Mobilization Technique for elderly men. The targeted study group was 20 men that were 65 years or older and separated into 2 groups; 10 men who applied the Ankle Joint Mobilization Technique, and the contrary group of 10 men. For the items of measurement, the area of joint mobilization was done by using a joint goniometer. And the balance control ability was analyzed through the balance performance monitor (SMS Health care, England). From the results of the research, they were significantly higher for the area of joint mobilization regarding all categories of the left and right dorsi flexion and plantar flexion of the group that received the Ankle Joint Mobilization Technique (p<05) and significantly low for the balance control ability regarding all categories of the main sway area, main sway length and max level speed (p<05). Thus, we confirmed positive effects for the range of motion of the ankle joint and balance control after the application of the ankle joint mobilization technique for elderly men. We hope that this ankle joint mobilization technique will be useful for fall prevention and the improvement of the balance control abilities for elderly men.
