국문 초록 (Abstract)

문민정부 이후 우리나라 교육개혁의 지표는 지식기반 사회에 대비하는 양질의 인력(인적자원)을 확보하는데 있었다. 지삭기반 사회에서 국가경쟁력 향상을 위해서는 지식기반형 산엽ㆍ 경재구조에로의 전환이 강조되고, 이런 측면에서 교육개혁이 필연적으로 요청되었다. 지식기반 사회에 대비한 교육개혁이 장애학생을 위한 특수교육 분야에서는 하나의 복음 일 수도 있지만, 또 다른 재난일 수도 있다. 이런 관점에서 본 연구에서는 지식기반 사회에 대응한 한국 특수교육의 과제를 이론적ㆍ학풍적 측면과 정책ㆍ실천적 측면으로 대별해 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Currently, the reform of education at national level in Korea was conducted to construct the knowledge-based society. The reform of education forward knowledge-based society for the disabled student in Korea can be utopia and
distopia. The successful reform should be conduct through the restructuring of schools for all children. The restructuring of schools to achieve qualitative outcomes for all children involves the conviction that schooling m와(es a difference, and schools are capable of changing to well educate all students together. To establish school
restructuring, the reform should be include students with special needs. I suggest a conceptualization of a unitary rather than a dual school system for reform of inclusive education with the disabled students. Restructuring special
education in Korea should be conceptualized at theorical and practical level. At theorical level, it means deconstruction of functionalism, and the reforms at
practical level means the paradigm shift from segregated education to inclusive education for the students with special needs.
