This study analyzed the lower-body shape distribution of women in their twenties using recent anthropometric data to derive age-specific size operation guidelines for online apparel production. Lower-drop distributions of women aged 20–29 were analyzed using the 8th Size Korea dataset and compared with the lower-garment sizing system defined in KS K 0051. Frequency analysis and independent t-tests were conducted to identify high-frequency size ranges and age related differences between women in their early twenties and late twenties. The actual lower-body size distribution of women in their twenties differed substantially from the high-frequency ranges assumed in KS K 0051, which is based on a broad adult age group. Among women in their early twenties, slim and small size ranges not designated as high-frequency in the KS standard appeared as dominant size clusters, reflecting the pronounced slimness of women in this age group. In contrast, women in their late twenties exhibited a distributional shift toward the high-frequency size ranges defined in KS K 0051 for the overall adult female population, accompanied by increased absolute waist and abdominal dimensions while maintaining relatively stable lower-drop ratios. These findings indicate that although lower-drop ratios remain structurally stable within the twenties age group, absolute body dimensions and size concentration zones vary by age. Based on these results, this study proposes age-segmented size operation guidelines that retain the KS K 0051 framework while prioritizing size codes reflecting actual consumer distributions.
