아동비만과 부모의 신체지수 및 월경에 관한 연구 = The relationship among child obesity, parents` body max index, and girl`s menstruation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생과 부모를 대상으로 하여 아동의 비만 도와 부모의 신체지수 그리고 월경이 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 알아보는데 있다. 초등학교 학생 38,208명(남아 19,614명, 여아 18,594명)을 대상으로 신체계측을 실시하였고, 대상 아동의 부모를 대상으로 비만 관련 위험요인을 파악하기 위해 자기기입 식 설문조사를 실시하여 분석하였다. 정상아동의 부모 BMI에 비해 비만 아동의부모의 BMI가 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 월경유무에 따른 소아비만도, BMI, 체지방률의 관계에 있어서는 비만도가 높은 여아일수록 비만도가 낮은 여아에 비해 월경을 할 확률이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 신장과 체중이 큰 아동일수록 월경을 할 경우가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 아동의 비만은 부모의 유전적 요인과 생활 습관 등 부모의 영향이 많은 것을 알 수 있으며, 비만에 의해 더욱 빨라지는 신체적 성숙은 초경연령을 더욱 앞당기는 것을 알 수 있다. 결론적으로 비만예방을 위한 교육의 대상은 부모를 포함한 가족 전체가 되어야 할 것이고, 빨라지는 초경나이를 고려한 성교육 프로그램의 개발이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to analyze the relationship among child obesity, parents` body max index, and girl`s menstruation for elementary school students and their parents. This was measured body investigation by 38,208 elementary school students (boys: 19,614; and girls: 18,594) and performed the self-administered questionnaire to understand risk factors of obesity by their parents. According to analysis, parents` BMI of obese child was shown statistically the higher than the parents` BMI of ordinary child. In the analysis of the relationship among obesity, BMI and body fat percentage according to menstruation, the girl having higher degree of obesity is easy to menstruate early. Tall and fat girl is easy to menstruate than others. The child obesity is influenced by hereditary factors and life habit, and early maturity by obesity makes it possible to move up the date of first menstrual period. In sum, the education for preventing obesity should enforce not only elementary students, but their parents. Based on this notion, the sexual educational program must be developed by considering early maturity.
