The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between personality traits, major commitment and dance ability achievement of university students majoring in dance. The subject was a population of 250 university students during the period of time April 10, 2017 to May 6, 2017. The data on 212 students were used for actual analyses and data were processed with SPSS 18.0 for Window and Amos 21.0 for correlation analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model(SEM). The results of the analysis were as follows: First, personality traits partially had positive effects on major commitment. Openness and agreeableness factors of personality traits appeared to affect major commitment. Second, personality traits partially had positive effects on dance ability achievement. Openness and conscientiousness factors appeared to affect understanding ability achievement factors, and conscientiousness factors appeared to affect practical ability achievement factors. Third, major commitment had positive effects on dance ability achievement.
