전주시 공간구조의 변화, 1996~2014년 = Changes in the Spatial Structure of Jeonju, 1996-2014

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In recent years, the spatial structures of the cities have changed significantly in terms of the emergence of polycentric urban configurations. In order to explore changes in spatial structure of Jeonju, this paper examines the spatial distributions of population and employment in 1996 and 2014. Maps and exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) are used to identify changes in the spatial patterns of population and employment, and to analyze whether the city form has changed into polycentric from traditional monocentric between 1996 and 2014. Due to the limitation of data, we estimate Gi(d) statistics on land values data for 2010-2016 to measure spatial clustering with high land value parcels. The results suggest that the spatial structure of Jeonju is becoming a polycentric form due to the presence of subcenters as a cluster having significantly higher land values over time. This study can provide insight into the spatial processes underlying the changing urban forms.
