아랍어 연어의 개념과 유형 연구 = The Concepts and Types of Arabic Collocations

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Arabic collocations are a phenomenon which was not studied enough by the Arab scholars and Korean scholars as well. This article tries to classify the types of collocations in Arabic and present the way how to translate Arabic collocations into Korean. For this purpose, the researcher compares the Arabic collocations with Korean and English if necessary.
Also, this article is interested in the methods how non-native Arabic speakers are to overcome the difficulties of translating collocational expressions. The researcher proposes the necessity of working on the so-called Arabic-Korean Lexicon of Collocations in the near future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지금까지 본 연구는 연어의 개념을 조사하고 아랍어의 연어 유형 및 한국어로 번역하는 과정에서 봉착할 수 있는 몇 가지 문제점들을 고찰해보았다. 그리고 다음과 같이 몇 가지 결론을 도출하였고 이를 효율적인 아랍어 교육을 위해 제안하고자 한다.
1. 연어, 숙어(Idioms), 복합어(Compounds), 속담이나 격언은 통사적, 의미론적으로 중첩되는 부분이 있으나 이에 대한 구별은 충분히 가능하다. 고정성과 가변성을 기준으로 스펙트럼 상에 표현하자면 한쪽 끝에 자유 결합(free combinations)이 있고 다른 한쪽 끝에 숙어가 있으며, 그 가운데 연어와 복합어가 놓이는 상태를 상정할 수 있다.
2. 아랍어 연어는 통사와 의미를 기준으로 크게 단일 연어, 복합 연어, 문화적 연어, 차용 연어, 전문 연어의 5가지로 나눌 수 있고 각 부류는 다시 세분이 가능하다. 이러한 분류적 접근을 통해 학습자들은 연어의 이해를 위한 기준을 가질 수 있을 것이며, 따라서 연어를 보다 용이하게 이해할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.
3. 한 언어를 다른 언어로 번역하는 작업에는 항상 어려운 문제가 수반된다. 특히, 연어를 번역할 시 번역자들은 TL과 SL의 구조를 상호 대응시키는 방식을 택할지 아니면 전체적 의미만을 고려해 둘 가운데 하나만 고려할 지 고민하게 된다. 본 논문은 상기한 연어의 구조에 따라 중점과 번역이 달라질 수 있음을 확인하였다.
4. 아랍어 교육, 특히 어휘 교육에서 연어의 중요성은 숙어나 복합어, 속담 및 격언 교육에 뒤지지 않는다. 학습자의 능동적 아랍어 학습 및 문제해결 능력을 고취시키기 위해서 아랍어 연어 사전의 제작을 제안한다.
