노인 우울과 자살생각 간의 관계에서 가족관계만족도의 조절효과 = A study on the family relation satisfaction s moderate effect on the relationship between the elderly depression and suicidal ideation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자살의 강력한 위험요인으로 알려진 우울과 자살생각의 영향관계에서 보호요인으로써 가족관계만족도에 관심을 갖고, 부부관계만족도와 자녀관계만족도의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 춘천 거주 65세 이상의 노인을 대상으로 비례할당표집방법을 사용하여 선정된 조사대상자 2,034명 중 배우자와 성인 자녀가 있는 노인 1,128명을 대상으로 기술통계분석, t-검증 및 ANOVA분석, 다중회귀분석, 일반선형모형분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 분석대상자의 자살생각은 평균 3.73점이었으며, 7.4%가 자살위험집단으로 분류되었다. 그리고 우울 수준은 0점부터 30점 범위에서 평균 3.52점, 부부관계만족도는 5점 기준 평균 3.90점, 자녀관계만족도는 5점 기준 평균 4.06점이었다. 둘째, 노인의 우울수준이 높을수록 자살생각수준도 높아졌으며, 마지막으로, 부부관계만족도와 자녀관계만족도 모두 노인 우울과 자살생각 간의 영향관계에서 부적조절효과를 보여 완충작용을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 노인의 자살 위험을 감소시키기 위한 적극적인 우울 스크리닝 강화와 노년기 부부관계의 재정립 및 노부모와 자녀 간의 관계 개선을 위한 개입의 필요성을 강조하고 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focuses on the satisfaction among family relationship that acts as a protective factor in the influencing relationship between depression and suicidal thoughts. 2,034 elders above 65 years old, who reside in Chuncheon, were selected through using the ratio quota sampling method. Of thoses, 1,128 elders are selected based upon the study criteria: elders who have spouses and adult-children. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, multiple hierarchical regression and general linear model were used to examine the research questions. The result of this study were the following. Firstly, the suicidal thoughts among the subjects were 3.73 in average; mean of depression was 3.52 points; means of satisfaction in marital status and parent-child relationship were 3.87 and 4.06 points. Secondly, the degree of suicidal ideation was proportionate to the degree of depression. Finally, the satisfactions of the marital relationship and parent-child relationship acted as negative moderate effects in the influencing relationship between elder depression and suicidal ideation. Based on the result, the study proposes the following in order to decrease the suicide danger of elders: tightening depression screening, improving the marital communication skill and improving of
marital relationship in later life through group counselling and intervening for solving the conflict between parent-adult children and etc.
