김기림의 詩論연구 = A Study on the Kim, Ki-Rim's Poetics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The poetics of Kim, Ki-Rim's began in the category of the theories of western trend of literature which was represented by English and American literature. Emphasizing the technique and the unification of contents, his poetics could not overcome the ideological dualism, for it did not make up a concrete program for the method of unifying them.
On the other hand, Kim, Ki-Rim continually made efforts though self-meditation overcome to his conditions of the Japanese colonial period. For this point, the process of change of his poetics can be a revealation of his literal and spiritual self-revolution.
Criticizing a biased-content and the pre-modern sentimentalism and overcame them, he established the modernism which stood on the current poetry as an intentional making. And when it tended to being art-oriented, he again tried to escape it with having a totalitarianic poetics which unified thoughts and arts.
He indulged in the methodology of theories if the conditions of the times got worse, and showed mobility in case of the intervening of freedom in reality, for the purpose of re-stand at the front of reality.
Like these, the feature of the poetics of Kim, Ki-Rim's lie in showing various changes by means of social conditions or self-reflection.
For all, the persistent things in it can be seen in fact that he emphasized images in technique of poetry ; emphasized the fact that poetry is the art of language, and that he especially emphasized the pictorial nature of poetry and the solid nature of image. In this point of view, Kim, Ki-Rim could not overcome the category of modernism. Preferably he could not but stand his literatural prospect under miserable colonial reality through modernism.
In conclusion, we can hardly deny the fact that the poetics of Kim, Ki-Rim's partly contributed to evolving new phase in Korean poetry in literature-historical side and had positive meaning of strengthening the theoretical maturity in critical side of literature.
