오픈코스웨어 제작과 활용에 대한 한국 대학 교수자의 경험 = A study of Korean professors` experiences in the adoption and use of Open Course Ware

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This qualitative study aims to explore the experiential meanings Korean professors learned from the adoption of Open Course Ware (OCW). To examine live experiences, in-depth interviews and conferences with 16 professors who have developed and utilized OCW were used. The participants described the nuances of their university settings for OCW, as well as provided the processes of their own experiences. The data were analyzed using the Nvivo program, and four main themes emerged as the findings. The participants started adopting OCW for extrinsic and intrinsic motivators, and they found three meaningful purposes (‘share,’ ‘care,’ ‘air’) of OCW and several challenges. Therefore, they suggested critical perspectives for facilitating a multi-dimensional utilization, as well as expansions. The results of the study should offer insights to researchers who would like to determine the ways to invigorate OCW in the future.
