시민과 함께 하는 음악학

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국외에서는 인문학의 한 분야로 널리 인정받고 있는 음악학이 국내에서는 아직도 인지도가 높지 못하다. 본 사업은 학문의 대상으로서의 음악을 일반인에게 소개하는 사업이다. 이를 위해 강좌의 대상은 일반 시민 및 고등학생으로 정했다. 그리고 두 외부 기관과 협약을 맺었다 : 서울시 용산구청 : 용산구 고등학교 연합 학생들, 제주대학교 소리어울림 음악멘토링쎈터 : 쎈터에 등록된 학생들 및 어려운 환경 속에서 음악을 공부하는 학생들을 위해 봉사하는 음악 교사들. 위 두 기관에서 10회씩, 총 20회의 강의가 진행되었다. 강의 주제는 다음과 같다 : 1. 음악과 역사 2. 음악과 표기 3. 음악과 문화 4. 음악과 사회 5. 음악과 미술 6. 음악과 건축 7. 음악과 수학 8. 음악과 언어 9. 음악과 문학 10. 음악과 무용 강의 날짜와 순서는 조금씩 변동이 있었지만, 처음 계획이 비교적 순조롭게 진행되었다. 이러한 변동의 원인은 주로 협약기관 측이 날짜 조정을 요청했기 때문이다. 예를 들어 고등학생들의 경우 학기 중 보다 방학 동안 집중적인 강의가 이루어지기를 희망했다. 결과적으로, 1년 내내 흩어져 있는 것보다, 시간적으로 집중된 강의가 하는 사람이나 듣는 사람 모두에게 보다 만족도가 높았던 것 같다. 일반인들의 경우 학생들보다 불규칙한 수업태도를 보였지만, 전반적인 호응도는 좋았다고 생각된다. 대체적으로 새로운 학문을 접하는 것에 흥미를 보였다. 흔히 일반인들이 만나게 되는 음악 강의들은 대부분 단순한 작품 해설이나 작곡가의 일화 등에 그쳤으므로, 심도 깊은 음악학 강의를 들을 기회가 드물었다. 따라서 음악을 보다 과학적인 견지에서 소개한 본 강좌는 시민들의 인문학에 대한 욕구를 충족시키는 데에 기여하였다고 평가할 수 있겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

From the ancient times, music has been one of humanities, i.e. liberal arts. Musicology is not yet widely know in Korea. This project aims to introduce the musicology to the general public through a series of lectures. Our target audience was the general public and high school students. We had coorperation agreement with Yongsan Disctrict Office in Seoul and Music Mentoring Center at the Jeju National University. At Yongsan the high school student in this disctric attended the lectures. At Jeju Island we met with music teachers for teenagers from the household with little wealth. The lectures of 10 times was proceeded at Yongsan and Jeju respectively. The themes of the lectures are as the following: Music and History; Music and Notation; Music and Culture; Music and Society; Music and Paintings; Music and Architecture; Music and Mathematics; Music and Language; Music and Literature; Music and Dance. The schedules were a little changed with the request from our cooperating partners, but we almost kept the original plan. As for the high school students from Yongsan they prefered the intensive lecutre during two weeks of summer and winter vacations. Fortunately both of the lecturers and the audience were satisfied the intensive course. As for the general public they were interested
