국회의원 블로그의 이웃링크에 미치는 요인: 구조방정식 모형의 구축 = A statistical analysis of politicians' blogs in South Korea

This study analyzes the link structure of the South Korean political blogosphere using a statistical method. The sample for this research is South Korea's National Assemblymen who were elected in April 2004 (N=107), and the data collections such as the inter-linkage between politicians' blogs occurred during July of 2005. Traditional multi-variate techniques were employed to identify some antecedent variables which predict the existence of permanent (neighbor) links on the blogs of Assembly members. Finally, this paper intends to produce a structural equation modeling to examine the determinants of a link network among politicians. The results reveal that online connectivity factor composed of blog usage time and outdegree had a positive relationship with indegree.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국의 국회의원 웹사이트에 나타난 커뮤니케이션 연결망의 모습이 어떠한지에 대해 검토하였다. 특히, 사이버 공간에서 새롭게 전개되는 정치 커뮤니케이션 활동의 온라인 구조를 파악하기 위해서 국회의원들 사이에서 점차 사용이 증가되는 블로그를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 제17대 국회의원 블로그의 이웃 인링크(inlink)의 존재 여부와 관련된 변인들을 파악하고, 구조방정식모형 등을 통하여 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 '블로그사용기간'과 'outdegree'로 구성되는 온라인 연결망요인은 종속변수인 'indegree'에 정(+)의 영향을 미침을 알 수 있다. 후속연구에서는 명성의 조작적 정의로서 'indegree'를 사용하고 명성에 영향을 미치는 온라인 및 오프라인 요인들을 파악한 통계적 분석의 수행을 제언한다.주요용어 : 블로그, 이웃링크, 연결망, indegree, ourdegree, 구조방정식모형.
