정신장애인의 차별경험이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = The Influence of Discrimination Experience of People with Psychiatric Disabilities on their Life Satisfaction Focused on the Mediating Effects of Disability Acceptance

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 정신장애인의 생활만족도에 미치는 차별경험에 대한 장애수용의 매개효과를 탐색하는 것이다. 분석은 한국장애인고용공단의 장애인고용패널 4차년도 자료에서 조사된 정신장애인 134명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 통제변인을 공변인으로 설정하고, 회귀분석을 적용하여 장애수용이 차별경험과 생활만족도에서 작용하는 매개효과를검증하였다. 분석결과 정신장애인의 장애수용은 차별경험이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 부분적으로 매개하고 있으며, 정신장애인의 차별경험이 많을수록 생활만족도가 낮아지는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 정신장애인의 생활만족도를 향상시키기 위해 차별경험과 장애수용에 대한 몇 가지 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the mediating effects of disability acceptance in discrimination experiences and life satisfaction of people with psychiatric disabilities. For the analysis, the study selects 134 persons with psychiatric disabilities (the study population), from the 4th wave dataset of Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled, collected by Employment Development Institute (EDI), Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. The study sets up extraneous variables as covariates, and verifies the mediating effects of disability acceptance in discrimination experiences and life satisfaction with Regression Analysis. The analysis results show that the acceptance of disabilities of the disabled mediates partly the influence of discrimination experiences on their life satisfaction, and also that the more experiences of discrimination the disable have, the lower their life satisfaction. Based on the study findings, we suggest a study implication that the life satisfaction of people with psychiatric disabilities is enhanced by improving the acceptance of disabilities of the disabled and reducing discriminations against the disabled.
