통합교육과정 이론과 현실 적용의 난점 = An attempt to study on the problems related with integrated curriculum in Korea National Curriculum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교육과정 이론에 따른 교육과정 조직방식으로서 통합교육과정에 대한 이론과 개발 사례를 제시하고, 한국의 현실에 적용하기 위한 난점을 논의함으로써 통합 교육과정 활성화를 위한 논의 대상을 모색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 우선 교육과정 이론의 발전과 이에 따른 통합의 방식에 대해 논의하였다. 교육과정이론은 교과를 강조하는 분야와 활동을 강조하는 분야로 구분되었다. 이들 각 이론에서는 나름대로 교과를 통합적으로 조직하려는 유형이 제시되고 있었다. 다음으로 통합 교육과정의 유형과 구체적 개발사례를 제시하였다. 통합교육과정의 유형은 한국에서 제시한 경우보다 외국의 사례를 도입하여 이에 따라 사례를 제시하고 있다. 여기서는 실제 외국 이론에 따라 개발된 통합 교육과정 사례를 제시하였다. 마지막으로 한국의 국가수준 교육과정과의 관계에서 실천 가능성에 대한 한계를 지적하였다. 여기에서는 국가수준 교육과정 개발체제, 문서체제, 교과서, 통합에 대한 인식, 교사간 경쟁체제 등에 대한 난점을 논의하였다. 그 결과 국가수준 교육과정과 교과서 제도의 유연화가 필요하며, 이에 따른 인적.물적인 제도적 뒷받침이 필요함을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The research attempted to explore issues and problems related with integrated curriculum in Korea national curriculum. For this end, first, the development of the curriculum theory and integrated curriculum were discussed. It was found that integrated curriculum was related to organize of the curriculum theory. Second, the model of the integrated curriculum was discussed. The development of models in the integrated in Korea were not much accumulated. The majority of integrated curriculum theory introduce the other countries. Third, difficulties in seeking integrated curriculum was discussed. The realistic difficult points were the system of the Korea national curriculum development, the organization of the Korea national curriculum document, the system of textbook, the perception in integrated curriculum, and stress on competition in teachers etc. In conclusion, it was convinced that the fundamental questions to be provided with integrated curriculum should be flexibility of the Korea national curriculum.
