인문,사회과학편 : ‘스포츠’ 개념의 정의에 대한 회의적 입장의 비판적 고찰: Kleinman과 McBride의 논의를 중심으로 = A Critical Review of the Skeptical Position to the Defining Concept ‘Sport’: Focused on the Argument of Kleinman and McBride

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the generally, for a academic discipline the defining the concept of its' research object belongs to a kind of basic task. Nevertheless, some scholars who are attended in the field of sport philosophy think that the defining the concept of sport is logical not passible. Especially, Kleinman and McBride in their philosophical articles have tried to discourage attempts at defining the concept of sport. The purpose of this study was to examine the assumptions and premises which are revealed in their argument. As a result, the definition, which is identified as a impossible one, is a kind of real definition in a classical sense. Recently, some another kinds of definition are suggested as alternative to real definition which is identified as a out of date and a not usable one. In conclusion, the theoretical position of Kleinman and McBride which has argued the impossibility of defining the concept of sport.
