국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험이 청소년의 자기주도성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of The International Award for Young People Program on Self-Directedness in learning of Adolescents

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of The International Award for Young People program on self-directedness in learning of adolescents. Nonequivalent control group design was applied to test the effect of The International Award for Young People program on self-directedness in learning of participants. The hypothesis was that the treatment group would be enhanced more than that of the control group. Subjects consisted of 160 middle school student; 80 in the control group and 80 in the treatment group. The questionnaires was consisted of 32 items of self-directedness in learning scale based on Guglielmino's SDLRS. After screening the data, 120 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. SPSS/WIN software was used to analyze the data. The major findings of this study were as follow. First, The International Award for Young People program had positive effects on overall self-directedness in learning of adolescent. Second, The International Award for Young People program had positive effects on love of learning, self-confidence as a learner, openness to a challenge, acceptance of responsibility for learning. But The International Award for Young People program had not positive effects on inqusitive nature, self-understanding. It was concluded that the International Award for Young People program may be viewed as an effective program to enhancing self-directedness in learning of adolescents.
