A culture for children must be a basic work for the development of Won Buddhist order.
It is regrettable, however, that Won Buddhists in this order must not have realized the essence of children's culture, because most of them are in lack of understanding on children's culture and there are many other problems followed by that.
So the purpose of my study is to focus on pointing out practical problems in children's culture proceeding from Won Buddhist temples and the ways to solve these problems so as to overcome immedeate difficulties of the culture.
1. The essence of children's culture
I explained the essence of Won Buddhist children's culture in it's various aspects-pedagogical, psychological, religious and Won Buddhist doctrinal-in order to help understand children. Through understanding the essence, I felt keenly the necessity of children's culture and gave a definition of the essence of it.
2. The situation of Won Buddhist children's culture
I illuminated the over all situations of Won Buddhist children's culture dating from the 27th year (1942) of Won Buddhism, in the history as of the 65th year (l980). By making up questionnaires and investigating actual conditions on the present situations of Won Buddhist children's culture, I appraised synthetically, structural analysises on organizations operations the processings of Dharma meetings homes and teachers aspect of Won Buddhism.
3. Practical problems of Won Buddhist children's culture and the ways to solve them.
From now on I'll point out some practical problems of Won Buddhism children's culture and research for the ways to solve them.
some problems are as follows;
(1) The problem of right recognition on children's culture.
(2) The problem of cultivating men of ability and using teachers for children's culture.
(3) The problems of planingly operating the Won Buddhist children's groups and managing them.
(4) The problems of expanding institutions for children.
Some new ways to deal with the problems, as said above, are as follows;
(1) The policy-improvement for children's culture.
(2) The founding of teacher-image for children's culture.
(3) The improvement of the organization and the managing for children's culture.
When these desirable culture will be realized, children can be sufficiently helped to grow into intellectual, emotional and moral men.
Therefore, growing children must be full of independent originality, hope, love and health.
As they also grow up with behaving as pure children in possessing a view point of real value, Won Buddhism will be able to establish a bright future and futhermore all nations in the world will also do as well.
