단일체계설계를 활용한 청소년 인터넷 과다사용에 대한 인지행동적 접근: 가정용 개입프로그램 개발을 위한 탐색적 모색 = The Effect of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy on Youth`s Excessive Internet Uses Based on Single System Design: An Exploratory Research to Develop a Home Intervention Program

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The major purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a new home intervention program to reduce excessive internet usage among youths. For this purpose, cognitive-behavioral therapy was selected as a theoretical basis and single system design was employed to test its empirical validity. The client was a high school girl who had a potential risk toward internet addiction. After 24 days of intervention based on changing criterion design, the client significantly reduced time to spend internet less than one hour in a day. The effectiveness of intervention program was proved by the visual analysis and several tests of statistical significance. Increasing alternative activities other than internet access and monetary rewards by token economics especially contributed to decrease internet usage. This finding suggests a positive sign of theoretical significance. Reduced dependency on internet and improved socialized lifestyles in school and home indicates practical significance for this program. The overall results lend support to apply this program at home setting for youths who show excessive internet usage.
