조직연구에서 실용주의 시각의 적용 가능성: 질적 방법과 양적 방법의 혼합을 중심으로 = Pragmatic Approach in Organizational Research: Combining Quantitative and Qualitative Methods

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper extends the discussion of a pragmatic approach in organizational research through a presentation of the concept of mixed-methodology. It addresses important issues that may arise when applying mixed-methodology in organizational research and discusses how it contribute to a deeper understanding of organizational phenomena. In doing so, this paper reviews the paradigm wars and incompatibility thesis and discusses the fundamental principles of mixed methodology. In order to apply it in organizational research, this paper suggests three major types of mixed-methodology designs. By using mixed-methodology, the researcher could decrease the deficiencies and biases that stem from any mono-method creating the potential for counterbalancing the flaws or the weaknesses of one method with the strengths of another.
