    This experimental study describes on strength-evaluation of spandrel beam with the pure torsion in reinforced concrete building system and offers basic datum for the actual structure design. In experiments, RC spandrel beams was modelized under consideration to twist crack direction, made total 9 specimen to two parts test plan(ARPT, BRPT series specimen), and then, carried out a monotonic loading tests. By using the experimental results, it is investigated, analized structural behavior and evaluated the twist strengths of specimen, and also, tried to give the design data for the actural pre-design. Specially, this study, in design of specimen, had adopted the characteristic steel laying method, namely, specimen, which stirrup steels to longitudinal steel were laid, were made and compared with the results of specimen of vertical stirrup steel and axial direction steels were arranged simultaneously. From the above special steel laying method, it could be evaluated to be the reinforcedment effects for spiral twist cracks.
