The purpose of this study was to develop movement education activities integrated with the basic and applied areas focused on developmental games, and to verity the effectiveness on improving preschoolers` physical self concepts. The subjects of this study were 52 children in two classes of K preschool, In-chon. The children in the experimental group participated in the movement education activities integrated with the basic and applied areas focused on developmental games once a week. On the other hand, the children in the control group participated in traditional physical education activities once a week. The physical self concept were tested by Hwang, Soon Gag(2000) physical self concept questionnaire. The movement education activities integrated with the basic and applied areas focused on developmental games was found as effective in improving the preschoolers` physical self concepts. The children in the experimental group improved in all sub-domains of self- concepts such as efficacy, physical strength, healthy and appearance.
