공공부문의 성비균형과 부패수준에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 우리나라 여성의 공공부문 참여가 점차 확대되고 있는 상황에서 이러한 경향이 공공부문의 부패수준에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 인과관계를 규명하고, 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 한다. 이러한 연구목표를 달성하기위한 본 연구의 문제의식과 연구질문은 다음과 같다. 여성의 공공부문 참여가 공공조직의 부패수준에 어떤 영향을 주는가 여성의 공공부문 참여는 부패의 수준을 낮추는데 도움을 주는가 본 연구는 여성의 사회참여에 선행되는 공공부문에의 참여와 공공조직의 부패수준 간 관계를 실증적으로 분석함으로써 첫째, 여성의 사회참여를 뒷받침하는 또 하나의 새로운 기반을 제시하며, 둘째, 부패에 대한 국내연구의 다양화에 기여하며, 마지막으로 보다 구체적으로는 부패수준에 영향을 주는 하나의 변수를 제시하여 정부부처의 부패수준에 대한 설명력을 높이고자한다.

Female participation in the public sector has been increasing in Korea since 1990s. In fact, the number of females working in some agencies is even higher than that of males, and this trend will continue. This study analyzes the effect of this trend on the level of corruption in the public sector, by examining the following research question. "Does the increase in female participation in the public sector reduce or increase the level of corruption in the sector " This empirical study aims at achieving three goals. First, to develop a new reason that supports female participation in the labor market. Second, to diversify the study of corruption in Korea, and finally, to investigate the possibility of new variables that influence corruption in government agencies.
